We visited Amboseli National Park in Kenya in Oct 2023.

Amboseli NP is at Tanzania Kenya border and is about 4 hours drive from Nairobi.

The national park is situated at the foot hills of Mount Kilimanjaro. The mountain itself is Tanzania though the National park is in Kenya.

We stayed within the park at Amboseli Serena Lodge. The accommodation was decent with wifi in the room and the restaurant provided wide spread of Indian vegetarian food.

Staying inside the park offered opportunity to go for multiple game drives. We had seen groups of elephants, a lion with a couple of lioness and cubs and also a dazzle of Zebras.

A close encounter with a Cheetah was the highlight of our game drive.
