Sivananda Ashram is the head quarters of Divine Life Society which was founded by Swami Sivananda Saraswati in 1936.
The Institution is basically a monastic set-up where about 200 spiritual aspirants are engaged in Sadhana for their personal spiritual progress and selfless service for the welfare of the humanity.

Location: The Ashram is situated in the sylvan surroundings on the sacred banks of Mother Ganga in Rishikesh, India.
Accommodations: Request for accommodation must be sent by email at least 15 days in advance as per the proforma available in the official website. The accommodation and food are provided free and are funded by donations.
The rooms are situated on a hillock which can be reached by steps or a circuitous road.


Basics: The Ashram has a set of guidelines for visitors as shown in the photo below.


Food: Vegetarian food is provided in the dining hall as per schedule shown below. There are restaurants nearby as the Ashram is located in the middle of the town.


Activities: The Ashram has the Samadhi shrine, Mandir, Book shop and Library all located on the hillock. Bhajan & Ganga Arti takes place in Gurudev Kutir near Ganges. There is a daily program schedule and guests are advised not to miss the Evening Satsang.


Yoga and Meditation Courses: The Ashram conducts short term and long term courses on Yoga and Hindu spiritual teachings.
